If you’re following PS3 scene, you probably came across spkg sig check patch without any explanation what is that.
From vague hints given at rebug.me you seem to have QA Flag and spkg sig check patched for a successful downgrade in the future. While QA flag is more or less clear, how to patch signature check on your console seems a mystery. Well, judging from dev wiki, this sig check exploit was first discovered by kakaroto, and following the link in his tweet we find an explanation how to bypass signature check in new firmware, so that older compromised PS3 keys would be still operational. Or something like that.
That means that you as a user should not patch sig check on your precious console. This patch is applied to the firmware files when devs create their custom firmwares.
