How to make a soft quality pencil eraser out of hard one

Draw a lot? Getting mad with those hard erasers tearing off too much paper? Here’s a solution.
You’ll need kerosene and some washing powder.

First, take a jar and put the eraser in, soak it in kerosene and leave overnight. Be sure to put on a tight-fitting lid, as kerosene is both highly flammable and highly volatile.
The next day the rubber will already be soft, but smelling of kerosene.
Here comes the washing powder. Add some in a bowl and boil it until the smell is gone. This shouldn’t take long, as kerosene is highly volatile, as already said.
Enjoy your soft eraser!
