Windows endless boot

So you performed a UEFI Windows install on a GPT partition. The PC boots, gets to the Windows logo and then reboots, prompting you to enter Safe mode.

Usually this happens when you are installing an older version of Windows on newer hardware, like when your PC was shipped with Windows 8 which you are replacing with Windows 7. Enter BIOS and enable Legacy boot mode, while giving UEFI boot a priority. Windows will boot into the interface, but will be terribly slow. Use this opportunity to install chipset drivers and Intel Rapid Storage software. Reboot and make sure the drivers are installed correctly. Now get back to BIOS and disable Legacy mode, leaving UEFI as the only boot option. Don’t forget to disable Secure boot. Everything should work fine now.
