I was amazed to find a fake site by the domain name win-rar.com, which actually is not owned by Rar Labs, the maker of the WinRar archiver.
The site however offers to download it. What you really download is some weird program called Zipper, which sole purpose of existance seems to be peddling of other shitty software. The weirdest thing is the domain doesn’t even have any ads. So the owner’s income comes from those utilities bundled with the download. So pathetic. Real WinRAR download site looks like this. It’s strange the company’s marketing department failed so miserably at securing their prime product from cybersquating.
