So you updated to Windows 10, and the volume control is dreadful.
How to get the old volume control back? Well, just open your registry editor and add this parameter EnableMtcUvc=0 to the following location.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\MTCUVC
Reboot, and you’ll get the old mixer back. If you don’t like to mess with the registry manually, download this zip archive with the required reg file. Unzip it and run to add the line to the registry. Then reboot your PC or simply restart explorer.exe to get the old volume control back. To revert the change, just delete this parameter or run the second file in the archive.
