If you need to create a child page with a specific template in Confluence, you may use the following link.
http://yourdomain.com/pages/createpage-entervariables.action?spaceKey=YOUR_SPACE&fromPageId=PageNUMBERid&templateId=TemplateNUMBERid
You must specify the spaceKey which is obligatory, and numeric page number id and template id, if you want the new page to be created as a child to a specific page from a specific template. You may get those numbers by manually creating a page from template from Confluence menu and copying the values from the browser address bar.
