Dates in Jira Issues Macro

If you’re using Jira Issues Macro for Confluence, you may have trouble getting issue creation and due dates to appear in Confluence.

Even though Jira returns the date in the XML, if you check the velocity template for the output, you may see that for some idiotic reason Atlassian developers chose to use RSS format for the date in the XML. That means, that the date will be formatted according to the locale of the user Jira is running under. Moreover, if the locales of both systems don’t match, Confluence will be unable to parse the date and will silently omit it, which is the problem exactly. So, switch both Confluence and Jira servers to the same locale, and you’ll get the dates in the Jira Issues macro output.
