JSAUX GaN typeC charger with a long cable and long VR USB cable Oculink

Another package from China has arrived, and this time there’s some useful gear from JSAUX. JSAUX is best known for their FlipGo portable monitors. Some of them are dual-screen models, letting you add extra displays to your laptop. While opinions on their monitors are mixed, we’re not reviewing one today.

JSAUX also offers a wide range of accessories, mostly for portable gaming consoles. Today, we’re looking at a 65W USB-C charger and a VR headset cable.
The 65W USB-C Charger

Let’s start with the charger. There are two models: the one I’m reviewing is the 65W model CH6504, but there’s also a 45W version. Both use GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology, allowing them to remain compact while delivering high power output. This 65W charger can easily charge a laptop.

While GaN chargers are not new, this model has a couple of standout features that made me choose it:

Built-in 3-meter cable
This is the longest fixed-cable charger I own, which is perfect for scenarios where your laptop is far from a wall socket—especially useful in cafes, airports, or shared workspaces.

The cable is non-removable, which is both a pro and a con. It’s great if all your devices use USB-C (like mine), but inconvenient if you want to swap cables for devices like iPhones with Lightning connectors.

Interchangeable plugs
The charger includes a foldable US plug and adapters for EU and UK sockets. Since it supports multi-voltage input, you can use it practically anywhere. I do wish they included an Australia-style plug—that would make it a dream for travelers.

The plug adapters clip on securely and don’t rattle.

Overall, I can highly recommend this charger. If you’re looking for a GaN charger with a long built-in cable and international versatility, give JSAUX a chance.
The VR Headset Cable

The second item is a VR headset cable, also known as an Oculus Link alternative. This cable is used to stream PC VR games to standalone headsets like the Oculus Quest or Pico.
Why Use a Cable?

You might ask: Why tether to a PC with a cable when you can stream wirelessly via Wi-Fi? Here’s why:

Pico and Quest are “streaming headsets”, not true DisplayPort headsets. They can’t receive raw video signals over USB-C—they need compressed video sent over a network.

Wireless streaming over Wi-Fi often suffers from:

Compression artifacts

Latency

Half-duplex limitations (can’t send and receive at the same time)

Overheating and interference

Ideally, your PC should be connected via Ethernet, and only the headset should use Wi-Fi. But with a cable, you bypass all of that:

Stable, high-bitrate stream

USB 3.0 delivers up to 5 Gbps, far exceeding even Wi-Fi 6

Full-duplex data transfer: unlike Wi-Fi’s walkie-talkie-style half-duplex, USB 3.0 allows simultaneous data transmission and reception, reducing latency

Better performance for features like eye, face, or gaze tracking

Continuous charging during use

Cable Details

The JSAUX VR cable is a cheaper and arguably better alternative to the official Oculus Link cable:

Angled USB-C connector for the headset, with a built-in LED indicator and a Velcro strap to reduce strain

5 meters long from USB-C (headset end) to USB-A (PC end)

An additional 1.2-meter segment with another USB-C plug for extra charging, useful if your PC’s USB port doesn’t provide enough power

Comes with a USB-C female to male angled adapter for better cable management

Total length: approx. 6.2 meters

The cable is braided, thick, and grayish off-white. While this color may attract dirt more easily than black, it matches most white headsets better.

JSAUX claims the cable supports 10 Gbps, although real-world streaming is limited to 1–3 Gbps due to hardware limitations in Quest and Pico.
Recommended Streaming Bitrates

If you’re using hardware-accelerated encoding, here are the ideal settings:

H.264: ~300 Mbps

H.265 (HEVC): ~150 Mbps

AV1 (if supported): ~250 Mbps

These values balance quality, speed, and efficiency.
Final Thoughts

JSAUX nails the functionality of these accessories. The charger impresses with its portability and plug versatility, and the VR cable delivers high-speed, reliable performance. Minor quirks like the non-removable cable on the charger or the white color of the VR cable might be drawbacks for some, but they don’t outweigh the overall value.
